I love these amazing pieces of history. Unusual petticoat in black as opposed to white.
Sturdy, with a bit of sheen, polished black cotton. Color is inky black. The light is reflecting off the sheen of the cotton, with a couple areas of fade. Set on waist band with a single hook closure, and open where there would be a zipper. Cut full and floaty, with stitched down pleats and darts around the waist. Gorgeous wide eyelet ruffle. Another ruffle at the hem under the eyelet ruffle. Smooth top across the front, with gathers in the back creating the fullness. Way too fabulous to be hidden.
Excellent condition. Minor discoloration to the cotton.
Measures: No stretch. Set on waist band. Waist 26 - move the hook to make smaller Hips free Length 35
