vintage 1950s cocktail dress by Tony Abate for Oldric Royce (Oldric Rosenbaum)
The only examples I came across were in the Hillwood Museum which was owned by Marjorie Merriwether Post and the dresses were her collection.

Gorgeous silk chiffon in a deep navy, almost black. Not as vibrant as some of the pictures.
Layers of chiffon, organza and lace.
Largely hand stitched.

Fitted bodice with sheer lace overlay with V neck and zipper back.
Skirt has a yoke top with pleats all around.
Lining has a pretty ruffle at the hem that gives the dress fullness.
Fully lined in acetate.

Excellent condition.
