Antique Victorian Mantelet,
1800s Black Beaded Fringed capelet, shawl, wrap with lappets
These victorian pieces are so amazing.
This one is a bit afflicted.
I purchased it with the intention of restoring it only to find it was quite the task.
It would make a great study or grunge piece.
The front and back pieces are sturdy and substantial .
It is just the beading that has problems.
High neck with hook front.
Long lappets down the front with beading.
The trim beading seems pretty solid. It is just the netting.
Good condition - significant bead loss.
Snug on mannequin shoulders so probably about 14 inches.
